A great opportunity has arisen for a Womenswear Designer specialising in wovens and jersey to join this high street fashion supplier. Based in their North London design studio, you will work closely with the production and sample teams, designing ranges for high street fashion retailers and online brands.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse the womenswear market to identify new trend opportunities
  • Support the product cycle from concept to delivery
  • Research market trends and product direction
  • Conduct print, shape, and fabric analysis through competitive shops
  • Forecast future trends and identify gaps within current ranges
  • Interpret trends into commercially relevant products
  • Develop new shape ideas from development briefs and update bestselling shapes
  • Follow product development from the initial brief through to production
  • Produce digital technical packs for factory use
  • Collaborate closely with pattern cutters, sample room, and garment tech teams to ensure deadlines are met

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Current commercial design experience within a supplier or retail environment
  • Strong trend awareness and the ability to interpret trends into commercial products
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as sound tech pack experience
  • Strong fabric knowledge across jersey and woven
  • An organised, detail-focused approach, with confidence in working to deadlines and critical paths
