This position represents ABB as Home Based, Field Service Engineer in the North East of England on customer paper manufacturing facilities, with the primary client being based in Prudhoe. As part of the Northern Service Team, provide 24/7 support on site for ABB QCS equipment. After initial ABB product training, you will be responsible to deliver the Service Agreement to scope, activities include preventative and corrective maintenance on ABB QCS/DCS equipment, configuration, calibration, modification, cleaning, adjustment. Participate in a 1 week in 3 on call rota. Develop a strong working relationship with customers across production and engineering.

Your Role And Responsibilities

  • Provide high level field and in house technical support, including out of hours support.
  • Fulfil Service Agreement obligations, demonstrated by the use of ABB ServicePro and other reporting tools.
  • Provide application support and software troubleshooting to customers, on site and by remote dial in.
  • Advise clients as to maintenance procedures, evolution, site planning, operational methods, process measurement and control.
  • Flexibility to travel to sites anywhere in the UK for above activities in addition to primary areas of responsibility.
  • Prepare and write technical reports for internal and external use.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering essential
  • Clean Driving License (UK) - essential
  • Self-Motivated and able to work unsupervised - essential
