This position reports to Sales Manager R&A Your role and responsibilities We have an exciting opportunity to join our Automotive team, selling our solutions to the Tier1 global accounts across the UK. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the account strategy that is focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.The candidate will be responsible for developing, planning and executing your own customer strategy, based upon the local/global strategies, in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and growth/performance, as part of the ABB Business Line Automotive sales strategy, to improve ABB market penetration and realize growth aspirations. This is a role reporting into the UK & Ireland organisation, and home based.This will mean securing profitable sales within this designated area(s), in line with the Global and Local Go to Market Strategies, through robot product sales, as well as standard solutions that are locally designed, built and delivered, and additionally the standard solutions from the regional application centersYou will have the ability to build long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer requirements and concerns.• Sells products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, representing AB and the candidate will be accountable for all ABB Robotics sales in the UK, supporting primarily End Users in the Tier1 space, to global key accounts, with an aim to develop new and existing customers. • Working with customers, you should be able to negotiate on specifications and pricing, whist maintaining the maximum margins for ABB and preparing quotes for the customers supported by the business and completing details within the CRM (SalesForce) tool for the opportunity pipeline and visit reports is essential. • Participates in the development of sales strategies for the account through providing current business and long-term plans of the customer.• Defines and proposes sales targets for the account and ensures their achievement through a structured follow-up process.• Understands customer needs and requirements and effectively communicates the ability of ABB’s solutions to address those needs.• Monitors client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal teams and you will be responsible for identifying and managing risk s relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels/segments.• You will be working to a personal and business target, that will be set for each financial year, as well as contributing to a team target. This will part of your goals, as well as some behavioural targets from the ABB 4Cs – Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, and Care• As part of the ABB QCE (Quality Customer Experience) program you should maintain the highest level of engagement with existing and new customers, and strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
