We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and self‑motivated staff experienced in food services to bring joy to our resident’s day. As a Food Services Assistant your focus will be to deliver catering needs that meet nutritional and hydration needs, special requirements and preferences of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Performing basic food preparation tasks and cooking basic meals.
- Preparing, presenting and serving / delivering food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets.
- Plating and presenting food in an appealing manner and to a high‑quality visual standard according to individual requirements.
Requirements:
- Food Safety Certificate Level I (HLTFSE001) or progression towards the completion of a Food Safety Certificate.
- Previous experience working in a food services environment and/or at an aged care facility.
- Patience; common sense and a strong ethos of client service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work within a team and to work with minimum supervision.
Shift options:
- Option 1: Week 1 & Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 12pm to 6pm each day
- Option 2: Week 1 & Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 6.30am to 2pm each day
