About the role
At our Camberwell SDA we provide quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live the lifestyle of their choosing, through your Person-Centred Active Support practice, you\’ll empower them to achieve their goals and demonstrate your contemporary disability support knowledge.
This Part time Position based in Camberwell, working a range of shifts, morning shift 6.30 – 9.30am afternoon shifts must be available for sleepover weekdays and weekends required. The roster line will be provided to shortlisted candidates to ensure
About you
As a Disability Support Worker (DSW), you will provide personalized care and support to people with disabilities in residential setting. You will assist clients in achieving their goals and support them in their daily activities.
Skills and experience required
- Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Disability
- Relevant experience in the disability sector
- A passion for providing person-centred services.
- Good knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Current Victorian Driver\’s Licence.
- Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening check and Working with Children’s Check for employment.
