Opportunity to join a leading organisation in a high-impact communications role, shaping how the business presents itself externally across digital and social channels while driving a consistent and compelling corporate narrative. This role sits within the Communications team and plays a central role in building reputation through content, storytelling and digital engagement. Acting as both a strategic lead and hands-on content creator, you will bring together website, social media and corporate messaging to showcase innovation, leadership and culture, while collaborating closely across the business to deliver an integrated communications approach.

Location: Leeds – three days in the office, two from home

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and own the external digital strategy across website and social channels, ensuring alignment to reputation priorities
  • Manage day-to-day social media activity, delivering consistent, engaging content and responding to queries in a timely manner
  • Lead the ongoing development and optimisation of the corporate website, ensuring it is engaging, current and performance-driven
  • Monitor social listening and media activity, identifying trends and emerging issues and sharing actionable insights
  • Create high-quality external content including articles, blogs, video and multimedia assets
  • Act as an internal journalist, building relationships across the business to uncover and develop compelling stories
  • Partner with Talent and L&D teams to strengthen employer brand messaging and encourage colleague advocacy
  • Support senior leaders and executives in building their external presence and engagement on platforms such as LinkedIn
  • Collaborate across the Communications function to ensure consistent, integrated messaging across all audiences
  • Support press office activity and crisis communications where required
  • Maintain governance and best practice across digital channels, ensuring brand consistency and compliance
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in external communications with a strong focus on digital channels and content creation
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, channel management and audience engagement
  • Experience managing websites and CMS platforms with a focus on optimisation and performance
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills across a range of formats and audiences
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and improve performance
  • Experience supporting media relations or press office activity is desirable
  • Creative and proactive approach with strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
