Part-Time Social Media Content Creator
Location: East London – On-site
Contract: Interim / Freelance
Day Rate: £160-175 per day
Days: 3 days per week
Working Pattern: Flexible on days and working hours
We’re working with a growing children’s clothing brand looking for a creative, hands-on Social Media Content Creator to join the team on an interim basis. This is a highly creative, delivery-focused role for someone who loves social media, understands what makes content engaging and is confident getting behind the camera to bring a brand to life.
Working three days per week from the brand’s East London location, you’ll create regular, authentic and engaging social content across the company’s key channels. There is flexibility around which days you work and the hours you complete, making this potentially ideal for a freelancer, content creator or someone balancing other commitments.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for creating a consistent stream of social-first content that showcases the brand, its clothing collections, personality and community. Responsibilities will include:
- Creating engaging content for Instagram, TikTok and other relevant social channels
- Shooting short-form video content, Reels and TikToks
- Photographing products, outfits and behind-the-scenes content
- Editing video and imagery into polished social-ready assets
- Developing creative content ideas around new products, launches, seasonal moments and trends
- Creating entertaining and relatable content that appeals to parents and families
- Writing captions and supporting social copy
- Keeping on top of relevant TikTok, Instagram and cultural trends
- Helping develop a consistent visual identity and tone of voice across social channels
- Working closely with the founders/team to quickly turn ideas into content
- Organising content so there is a regular pipeline of material ready to publish
- Supporting occasional content shoots and product launches
About You
We’re looking for someone who is naturally creative and genuinely understands social media rather than someone who simply schedules posts. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience creating social media content for a consumer, fashion, lifestyle, retail or D2C brand
- Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok
- Confidence shooting content using a smartphone and/or camera
- Video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Canva or similar
- A good eye for photography, composition and visual storytelling
- An understanding of social trends and what makes short-form content perform
- The ability to generate ideas rather than waiting for detailed briefs
- A fast, proactive and hands-on working style
- Comfortable working independently within a small entrepreneurial business
- An interest in fashion, children's clothing, parenting or lifestyle brands would be beneficial
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for a creative content specialist who wants ownership and freedom to experiment with ideas within a growing young children's fashion brand. The business is particularly interested in finding someone who can capture the personality behind the brand, rather than creating overly polished corporate content.
