Opportunity to join a well‑established organisation in a key internal communications role, supporting the delivery of engaging and effective communications that keep colleagues informed and aligned to business strategy and culture. Reporting to the Head of PR and Internal Communications, this role plays a central part in delivering clear, timely and engaging messaging across the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, the Internal Communications Executive will help translate complex information into accessible content while supporting engagement initiatives, campaigns and internal events. Hybrid working – Three days per week in Brighton, two remote.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of internal communications plans aligned to business priorities
- Draft and edit clear and engaging content for a range of internal channels including intranet, emails, newsletters and leadership updates
- Manage day‑to‑day internal communications activity including scheduling, publishing and channel management
- Administer colleague recognition schemes and support employee engagement initiatives
- Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to shape messaging and translate complex information into clear, accessible language
- Support the planning and delivery of internal events including town halls, roadshows and leadership briefings
- Maintain and update internal communications platforms including intranet and SharePoint
- Monitor engagement and feedback, using insights to improve communication effectiveness
- Ensure consistency of tone of voice and alignment with brand and organisational values
- Provide communications support including briefing notes, FAQs and presentations
- Maintain distribution lists and ensure effective targeting of communications
- Create clear, accurate and engaging copy tailored to different audiences
- Support evaluation and measurement of communications activity
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring all communications adhere to brand guidelines and compliance requirements
- Ensure all governance and compliance requirements are met in line with regulatory standards
- Experience in an internal communications or employee engagement role (essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident working with stakeholders at different levels across an organisation
- Experience using digital communication tools and platforms
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Understanding of internal communications best practice and employee engagement
- Knowledge of SharePoint, analytics or regulated environments is desirable
