Purpose of Role: Lead high-profile communication projects and campaigns, including major industry events, annual research, and trend reports. Develop and execute targeted media and communications activities to engage consumers, members, and stakeholders, supporting the brand and business plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop proactive media and communication strategies.
- Lead cross-team projects and campaigns.
- Manage annual consumer research projects.
- Respond to emerging events/issues affecting members and the industry.
- Act as a media spokesperson.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media and stakeholders.
- Support internal communications and engage staff.
- Create content for various channels including press releases, blogs, and social media.
- Collaborate with the communications team to achieve organizational objectives.
- Evaluate communications activities and provide insights.
- Manage and develop junior team members.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota for crisis communications.
Skills and Experience (Essential):
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
