A leading dental laboratory west of Carlisle is expanding its specialist splint department and is seeking a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Technician or Prosthetic Technician. Position Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and manufacture of a variety of dental splints and appliances, such as:
- Michigan/TMJ splints
- Soft and hard bite-raising appliances
- Bleaching trays
- Retainers and other orthodontic appliances (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication of high-quality dental splints and related appliances
- Accurate model preparation using both digital and analogue workflows
- Ensuring all work aligns with clinical prescriptions and internal quality standards
- Collaborating with colleagues and clinicians to achieve the best outcomes
- Maintaining an organised and hygienic workspace
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Orthodontic Technician or Prosthetic Technician (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in splint fabrication is desirable, though full training can be provided
- Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
