Dental Laboratory Manager Opportunity – Lead Operations in a Modern, Growing Laboratory Are you an experienced Dental Laboratory Manager or Operations Manager looking for your next challenge?
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and progressive dental laboratory in Essex that is seeking a confident, organised and commercially minded manager to oversee its day-to-day operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected laboratory where you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, supporting multiple departments and ensuring an outstanding service is delivered to clients.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for managing workflows, leading operational teams and continually improving processes to ensure the laboratory continues to deliver exceptional quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of a busy and successful dental laboratory.
Manage workflow planning to ensure cases are completed on schedule while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Lead, motivate and develop the logistics, customer service and client technical support teams.
Monitor productivity, turnaround times and operational performance, implementing improvements where required.
Ensure the laboratory operates in line with UK dental regulations, quality standards and internal procedures.
Work closely with laboratory technicians and department managers to maximise efficiency and resolve operational challenges.
Identify and implement new systems, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing performance management of operational staff.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, supporting the resolution of complex customer enquiries when needed.
Produce KPI reports and operational updates for senior management.
Foster a positive, collaborative and customer-focused culture throughout the business.
About You We’re looking for an experienced operations or laboratory manager with excellent leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
You’ll ideally have: Previous management experience within a dental laboratory or the wider dental industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Outstanding communication and customer relationship skills.
A good understanding of dental laboratory workflows and digital dentistry (highly desirable).
Experience using laboratory management software together with Microsoft Office.
