We are looking for a Warehouse Operative/Driver (3.5 tonne) based in Glasgow. This role will be predominately warehouse duties and driver duties will be required to cover holiday, absences and busy periods.
Start date for this role will be 6th January 2027.
This role is full time, 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday with an hour lunch break each day.
Warehouse Operative hours: 8 hours between 8am-5pm
Driver hours: 8 hours between 6am-3pm
Salary is up to £28,000 depending on experience.

Job Purpose
Responsible for goods in, order processing WMS etc and also covering any driving duties to cover holiday & busy periods, delivering and collecting products to and from our customers and suppliers in an efficient, safe and timely manner. As the face of the company, you will be expected to be polite and courteous, and act with complete integrity and professionalism at all times.
The day-to-day role
- Accurate orders processing, packing and shipping of orders
- Loading and unloading products
- Load vehicle, where required, checking all relevant goods are loaded and organised to maximise efficiency at delivery sites. Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely within legal operating limits.
- Accurate and timely movement and delivery/collection of our customers and suppliers’ products.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and that use of any Handheld technology is used with attention to detail.
- Complete a daily vehicle check, ensuring the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and legally compliant. Report any defects or repairs required immediately. Comply with all legal requirements such as Transport rules, the Road Traffic Act, Highway code, speed limits and DVLA legislation, when covering for holiday periods.
- Attend any essential training to carry out the driver’s role safely and effectively.
- Receive goods inwards, unload and store in the correct location using manual handling techniques.
- Update and maintain all transport documentation and paperwork as appropriate.
- Processing orders according to sales requirements using systems and technology.
- Sign for deliveries and receipt of stock and report breakages/damages.
- Maintain the warehouse and stock in a clean and tidy condition.
- Adhere to safe working practices and ensure safety of yourself, and others, at all times.
- Moving product using manual, power operated pump trucks and forklifts (training provided if necessary).
- Carry out other duties within yard/warehouse as and when required.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations regarding vehicle and loading area maintenance, and load equipment safely. Keep up to date with safety requirements including the use of relevant PPE.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested within the individual’s capabilities.
Skills & experience you possess:
- · Hold a current, full UK driver’s licence
- · Experience driving/delivering
- · Comfortable working in challenging traffic conditions.
- · Possess basic numeracy and IT skills.
- · Understand and have knowledge of basic health and safety requirements.
- · Forklift Licence (desirable)
- · Good data accuracy
- · Knowledge of basic health & safety requirements (preferable)
- · Previous Yard or Warehouse experience
