This role will be responsible for lead generation, customer engagement, and driving sales opportunities by working closely with the Product Specialist to convert leads into customers. Additionally, this specialist will collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and materials to strengthen our brand presence.
Job Description
- Identify and engage potential customers in the cell and gene therapy space.
- Develop a deep understanding of varying customer workflows, challenges, and unmet needs to position our technologies, services, and products effectively.
- Leverage multiple channels and technologies (e.g., digital marketing, networking, social media, and events) to generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
- Generate, qualify, and nurture leads to ensure a steady pipeline of opportunities.
- Work closely with the Product Specialist to convert leads into customers by demonstrating the value of our products and offerings.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer sites to promote our capabilities and engage with potential customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that enhance brand visibility and market penetration.
- Provide insights into customer needs to develop marketing materials, brochures, presentations, and digital content that effectively communicate our strengths.
- Support digital marketing efforts, including website content, email campaigns, and social media engagement.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to refine our sales and marketing strategies.
- Act as the first point of contact for potential customers, ensuring a seamless experience from initial outreach to final conversion.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align our offerings with customer requirements and expectations.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and market feedback to continuously refine sales approaches.
- Global travel to attend industry conferences, trade shows, customer sites, and to attend internal company meetings, as needed.
- Flexibility in working hours is required to support customers across various time zones.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business or a related field.
- 10+ years in a product-focused or technical sales role, with at least five (5) years within the biopharma, CDMO, or cell and gene therapy industry.
- Proven track record in lead generation, customer engagement, and sales conversion.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and analyse varying customer workflows and pain points to position our technologies, services, and products effectively.
- Experience in leveraging multiple channels and technologies (digital marketing, CRM tools, networking, social media, etc.) to generate leads.
- Experience in lead generation, CRM tools, and sales funnel management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with the Product Specialist and Marketing team to drive business growth.

- Master’s Degree is preferred.
- Prior experience working with a start-up or rapidly growing company that is relatively new to the market.
Physical & Mental Demands
- Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, and stand in an office environment.

- Will need to repeatedly use hands to finger, handle, feel and operate standard office equipment.
- Day to day responsibilities may require lifting, moving, carrying, and maneuvering materials up to 25 pounds alone; heavier with assistance.
