As a System Engineer at Vizrt, you serve as a vital member of our technical team, playing a significant role in our ongoing software deployment projects. This position requires good technical skills, product knowledge, and a basic understanding of the broadcasting industry. Your role will involve deploying Vizrt systems into production, including setup, configuration, customization, and testing systems that integrate with third-party hardware and software. You will maintain an effective dialogue with end-users, developers, and technical staff both internally and externally.
Requirements
- Recommended background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering or a similar field
- Basic understanding of television studio operations and broadcast workflows
- Some exposure to broadcast systems such as newsroom systems, vision mixers, or playout servers, gained through work experience, internships, or academic projects
- Up to 2 years of experience in system engineering, broadcast IT, or enterprise software environments, ideally with some focus on automation or on-air graphics
- Familiarity with Vizrt solutions, including Mosart, is a plus but not required
- Initial experience or hands-on exposure to troubleshooting integrations between systems, with support and mentoring from senior team members
- Familiarity with technologies such as XML, REST, and SOAP
- Experience working with Viz Mosart automation would be an advantage
Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of Vizrt products into production environments under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist with system setup, configuration, customization, and testing, following established best practices and documentation
- Participate in onboarding, product, and technical training to build knowledge of Vizrt products, broadcast workflows, and customer environments
- Active communication with various stakeholders including end-users, developers, and technical staff
- Documentation of deployed systems and configurations
Tasks and Duties
- Participate in the installation and configuration of Vizrt products and systems, with increasing responsibility over time
- Assist in developing and maintaining custom modules or integrations using third-party APIs, with mentoring and code reviews from senior engineers
- Regularly participate in project team meetings and daily stand-up meetings
- Effectively manage code and patches in a coherent and structured way
- Ensure the accuracy of time-reporting and other project-related administrative tasks
- Collect and share enhanced knowledge and customer feedback to support continuous improvement efforts within the organization
- Help to build a Customer Success mindset across the organization through effective partnership working, advocacy and professionalism as a member of the Global Services team
