We are on the hunt for a passionate Product Owner for the Rail Gates stream. This exciting role is a member of the AFC (automatic Fare Collection) Product team, who is accountable for making the value-based decisions that inform what our team will deliver and in what order we will deliver it. They champion the needs of our customers and stakeholders, evangelise the qualities of our solutions and help our sales, customers and project teams understand how to benefit from them, whilst remaining focused on the commercial viability of our offerings. This role will suit someone that loves a variety of responsibilities and working across multiple teams, in a global context.

What will you be responsible for?
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Vix Rail & AFC products, overseeing software and third-party hardware integration.
- Be accountable for sprint planning, refinement, and requirements definition, producing clear stories and specifications for internal teams and suppliers.
- Act as SME for development and testing teams, and maintain strong communication with suppliers, project managers, and other internal stakeholders.
- Own the roadmap for the products, new features and enhancements, bringing together customer commitments, stakeholder needs, market trends, and aligning to Vix global product standardisation vision and core solution.
- Collaborate proactively with customers and third-party partners to resolve issues and align on future features, including market analysis.
- Maintain product documentation, including specifications, release notes, user manuals, and training collateral.
- Responsible for an end-user-centric design and planning process including UI/UX design prototypes, prioritising the needs of passengers and station personnel.
- Support sales, solution delivery, and operations with technical expertise, contributing to analysis, attending trade shows and events, and providing product demonstrations.
- Support the bid and tender team in responding to opportunities providing analysis, estimation, and writing narrative to suit.
- Collaborate with internal and external hardware stakeholders and supplier managers to optimise pricing of components, modules, and subassemblies.

- Technical domain knowledge: Familiar with public transport payments and fare collection technologies and regulatory requirements and inclusive design.
- Experience with mobile applications is desirable.
- Strong analytic skills and problem solving.
