We are looking for a psychological care clinician to join our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) team. You will provide 24/7 confidential support to employees via telephone, virtual and face‑to‑face counselling, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, debt advice and family matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accept and manage referrals in line with service protocols.
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health difficulties, empowering self‑management of recovery and triaging to internal or external services where appropriate.
  • Conduct client‑centred assessments and risk assessment for self‑harm or harm to others.
  • Provide low‑intensity interventions using counselling skills, psychoeducation and assessment techniques.
  • Make referral decisions in line with The Employee Resilience Company protocols.
  • Offer self‑help CBT resources and pharmacological treatment information via face‑to‑face, phone or digital channels.
  • Share relevant information with managers or key contacts within client organisations when needed.
  • Work to an agreed activity contract, balancing client contacts and clinical sessions to minimise waiting times.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss referrals and ongoing care.
  • Accurately record clinical activity and outcomes using CORE‑Net, and maintain compliant clinical records in line with protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues on step‑up and step‑down pathways within a stepped‑care model.
  • Integrate work‑related and employment factors into the therapeutic process.
  • Practise from an inclusive, recovery‑focused values base recognising and respecting diversity.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy (minimum Level 4).
  • Registered or accredited membership with BACP or similar professional body (essential).
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check, or willingness for the company to arrange one.
  • Experience in the mental health or EAP sector.
  • Experience carrying out psychological assessments with validated tools.

  • Roles are available full‑time or part‑time (minimum four days per week) with rotational shifts of 8 am–4 pm and 12 pm–8 pm, plus occasional on‑call work up to three times per year.
