A leading UK lighting manufacturer is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Specification Manager to join its external sales team. The role focuses on generating and developing specification-led business across commercial, industrial, and retail environments, while supporting existing clients and managing projects through to completion. This is a varied and fast-paced position suited to someone who is outgoing, commercially minded and comfortable working under pressure. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to think on their feet. Ongoing training will be provided to support development in an ever-evolving product and industry landscape.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote and create demand for lighting products among electrical contractors, consultants/specifiers, architects, local authorities and end users
  • Support the conversion of specifications into sales through the appropriate distribution network
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships within the assigned territory
  • Manage projects from initial concept through to completion
  • Follow Health & Safety policies, work instructions, and safe systems of work

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven lighting industry knowledge
  • Strong understanding of lighting schemes
  • Good geographical knowledge of the region and relevant customer base
  • Demonstrated sales ability
  • Experience managing projects end to end
  • Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude
  • Smart, professional appearance
  • Full UK driving licence
