  • Quality Support Technician
  • Department: Quality Reporting to: QHSE Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quality Support Technician to join our Quality team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out first-off, patrol, and final inspections of engineered components, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, technical drawings, and AS9100 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform first-off, patrol, and final inspections of machined components.

Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and support Inspection Test Plans.

Operate and programme CMM equipment.

Review production documentation and verify compliance with drawing requirements.

Raise and investigate non-conformances, supporting corrective actions.

Support production teams in resolving quality issues.

Provide calibration support and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Experience in production inspection within a machine shop environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.

Competent using handheld measuring equipment and CMM machines.

Understanding of non-conformance processes and quality documentation.

Aerospace and/or nuclear industry experience desirable.

Apprentice trained with City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.

Experience with FAIR software and CMM programming (Aberlink, QCT, or Mitutoyo preferred).
