Job Description

  • Country Manager – France
  • Our client is a leading European lighting manufacturer currently looking for an ambitious

Country Manager to drive growth across the French market .

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused sales professional with experience within professional lighting, lighting controls or a closely related technical building-products sector.

The successful candidate will have an established network in France and a proven ability to generate new business and develop strategic accounts.

You'll be responsible for developing new business, securing major projects, improving agent performance and building long-term relationships with key customers and project stakeholders across France.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business opportunities across the French market.
  • Build and manage relationships with strategic and multi-site accounts.
  • Work closely with existing agents to improve pipeline, opportunity conversion and sales performance.
  • Identify specification opportunities and convert projects into sales.
  • Develop relationships with consultants, contractors, lighting designers, facilities and energy managers.
  • Deliver customer presentations and business cases focused on energy savings, ROI and lifecycle costs.
  • Develop opportunities across industrial, logistics, healthcare, commercial and infrastructure sectors.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Business Development, Country Management, Specification Sales or Solutions Sales.
  • Experience within the French professional lighting or technical building-products market.
  • Strong existing network and ability to generate new business independently.
  • Strong account management and new business development skills.
  • Experience working with agents and managing complex project sales.
  • Good understanding of lighting controls, energy efficiency and connected-building solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Native-level French and professional English.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout France.
