What You'll Do
As an M&E Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and timely delivery of contractual obligations while maintaining compliance with JSP375. You will be responsible for:
- Assessing the competence of skilled personnel
- Producing high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Providing technical support to site teams, supply chain partners, and end users
- Supporting project work, reducing corrective actions, and identifying opportunities to help the MoD achieve its carbon reduction targets
- Providing professional advice on MOD Safe Systems of Work
- Liaising with stakeholders
- Ensuring that maintenance and operational procedures meet the highest standards
- Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders
- Providing supervision, assessment, and coaching to Skilled Persons
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you must be a fully qualified Mechanical (or Electrical) Engineer and ideally hold AP tickets in Electrical or Mechanical, but this is not essential as we are prepared to put the successful candidate through all AP tickets if necessary. You should have:
- Significant practical experience with Safe Systems of Work, particularly in the management and operational delivery of JSP375
- Confidence in problem-solving, decision-making, and working independently across multiple sites
- Experience in supervising site operations, resource management, and staff leadership
A full UK driving license is required, as you will be expected to travel across sites and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota when necessary. The ability to obtain and maintain SC Clearance will be a condition of employment.
