What You'll Do
- Play a crucial role in ensuring the effective and timely delivery of contractual obligations while maintaining compliance with JSP375.
- Assess the competence of skilled personnel, produce high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and provide technical support to site teams, supply chain partners, and end users.
- Support project work, reduce corrective actions, and identify opportunities to help the MoD achieve its carbon reduction targets.
- Provide professional advice on MOD Safe Systems of Work, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure that maintenance and operational procedures meet the highest standards.
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team, supporting projects, and advising on any deficiencies that could impact estate safety and compliance.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure seamless operational delivery.
- Provide supervision, assessment, and coaching to Skilled Persons, ensuring they are fully trained and operating safely within regulations.
What You'll Bring
- Fully qualified Electrical Engineer, ideally holding AP tickets in Electrical or Mechanical (not essential as we are prepared to put the successful candidate through all AP tickets if necessary).
- Significant practical experience with Safe Systems of Work, particularly in the management and operational delivery of JSP375.
- Confidence in problem-solving, decision-making, and working independently across multiple sites.
- Experience in supervising site operations, resource management, and staff leadership is essential.
- A full UK driving license is required, as you will be expected to travel across sites and participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota when necessary.
