Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Plasterer to join VIVO Defence Services, working to maintain and improve accommodation for our UK Armed Forces and their families. You will be based in Lyneham and play a key role as the main plasterer in the area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a first‑class service across the Ministry of Defence housing estate.
- Carry out all aspects of plastering, both internal and external, to the highest standard.
- Apply sand and cement, complete K render, patch repairs, skimming, and finishing plasterwork to a perfect standard.
- Undertake general external works such as groundworks, patios, curb stone repairs or replacements, and fencing.
- Support decorating and painting tasks when required.
- Maintain accurate records of materials and completed work using both electronic and paper‑based systems.
- Ensure all health and safety documentation is in place prior to starting work.
- Communicate professionally with residents, clients, and colleagues.
- Support apprentices or less experienced team members when necessary.
- Operate within VIVO’s Perfect Delivery ethos.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- City & Guilds 6708 Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 in Plasterwork (or equivalent).
- Experienced and confident tradesperson with a strong plastering background.
- Strong plastering background and ability to complete work efficiently and to a high standard.
- Keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Experienced plasterers without formal qualifications may also be considered if they can demonstrate a proven track record of delivering high‑quality work in similar environments.
