Overview: VIVO provides facilities management and accommodation maintenance for the UK military and its partners. We embody both experience and innovation, putting customers and families first. We drive improvements to ensure services are delivered safely, on time, and meet statutory and MoD requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead safe, compliant and effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the VIVO contract.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day service delivery, ensuring operatives are qualified, equipped, and authorised.
  • Oversee safe systems of work, review Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and record all activity via the CAFM system.
  • Build strong relationships with Defence Infrastructure Organisation representatives, end users and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the key point of contact for operational issues, complaints, and development of additional works.
  • Manage small billable works, including production of rough cost orders and efficient delivery.
  • Lead by example, embed a positive safety culture, and provide coaching and direction to teams.
  • Balance operational priorities with commercial awareness, manage costs, mitigate risk and contribute to forward maintenance planning.

Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in planned and reactive maintenance environments, ideally with small project delivery responsibility.
  • Full HNC (or equivalent) in a building, civil, electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Health & Safety qualification at management level (e.g., SMSTS).
  • Strong IT skills, confident using Microsoft Office and CAFM systems.
  • Comfort with additional responsibilities such as Legionella, Asbestos, Confined Space or Working at Height authorisations, with training provided where required.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, influence, decision making and delivery skills in a regulated, safety‑critical environment.

Salary: £38,000–£43,000 per annum.
