Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
The Role:
- Take ownership of ensuring all documentation relating to Reactive and Planned Maintenance is accurate, completed promptly, and recorded against the correct assets within the CAFM system.
- Oversee the maintenance of both the Establishment Specific Task Schedule (ESTS) and the Forward Additional Services Plan (FASP), ensuring compliance and effective planning across your area of responsibility.
- Monitor the compliance state of all sites under your management, mitigating risks associated with any overdue statutory or mandatory tasks by working closely with DIO and Heads of Establishment representatives.
- Identify opportunities to support the MoD’s Net Zero carbon reduction targets, initiating Billable Works projects and sustainability initiatives to deliver long‑term value.
- Act as On Call Services Manager when required, providing leadership and swift resolution in response to operational needs.
What You’ll Bring:
- A strong technical foundation, with an ONC or equivalent qualification in Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience in a hard services FM maintenance management role.
- Continuing Professional Development will be expected, alongside technical training to maintain competence and awareness of asbestos and legionella responsibilities.
- Familiarity with site assets and Safe Systems of Work will be key, as will recognised qualifications such as IOSH, Emergency First Aid, and Fire Safety.
- A service‑focused leader who can combine technical expertise with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate both direct teams and supply partners, ensuring cost‑effective, safe, and compliant service delivery.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to performance management.
- A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and ability to pass SC Clearance.
