What We Do
We put our Customers and Families First. They are the driving force behind everything we do. We drive forward improvements for them to ensure the service they receive – whether reactive repairs or a major project – is completed safely and on time. Our core values are open, caring, agile and collaborative, and these guide all our work.
The Role
As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive maintenance, repairs and minor works across RAF Fairford and RAF Welford, with the majority of your time based at Fairford and traveling to Welford as required. A company van and fuel card will be provided to support travel between sites. You will undertake a varied workload across both domestic and commercial buildings, including basic plumbing, electrical repairs, plastering, mechanical maintenance and general building repairs. The role requires adaptability and the ability to switch priorities quickly in response to changing operational requirements and emergency callouts. All work will be scheduled and allocated digitally through a tablet or mobile device, enabling you to manage your workload efficiently while maintaining accurate records of completed tasks. You will also support general storekeeping and yard duties on occasion. The role offers a balance of independent work and teamwork; many tasks are completed through lone working, while you will collaborate closely with colleagues and the wider engineering team to deliver an exceptional service.

- Practical experience within a maintenance, facilities, construction or housing environment and comfort with a wide variety of repair tasks.
- Experience gained within domestic properties, commercial premises or both.

- Strong hands‑on experience, excellent references and a proven track record of delivering quality workmanship are essential.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements, including COSHH and RIDDOR regulations, and a proactive approach to safe working practices.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- Hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
- Reliable, punctual, self‑motivated and confident communicating with colleagues, customers and stakeholders at all levels.
