Position Details

  • Location: RAF Fairford / Welford, Fairford, Gloucestershire, GB, GL7 4DL
  • Contract: Full Time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 PM, with on‑call rota 1 week in 3/4
  • Salary: Up to £42,000

Role Overview

This is a hands‑on position focused on delivering both planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a mix of commercial and domestic buildings, with a strong emphasis on commercial environments. The role includes PPM activities, fixed wire inspections, compliance testing, and fault response on critical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct planned and reactive electrical maintenance and testing.
  • Perform PPM activities, fixed wire inspections, and compliance testing.
  • Respond to faults on critical systems and assets.
  • Collaborate with building custodians and stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure safety.
  • Support out‑of‑hours coverage and assist with rotation schedules.
  • Meet key performance indicators and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, with knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Proven experience and qualification in 2391 Testing and Inspection, fixed wire testing and commercial electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in high‑compliance or critical environments, such as Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) is advantageous.
  • Strong client‑facing communication skills and ability to manage relationships.
  • Security Clearance (SC) eligibility required.
