Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Location: RAF Molesworth, Huntingdon, PE28 5AG including occasional travel to RAF Alconbury and USVF West London
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:00AM - 4:30PM).
Salary: £39,000 to £42,000 dependent on experience and qualifications
We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join our dedicated engineering team supporting critical infrastructure across a range of domestic, commercial, and industrial buildings. Based at key MOD site RAF Molesworth, including occasional travel to RAF Alconbury, and USVF West London, this role puts you at the heart of essential UK and US operations.
About the role:
You’ll be responsible for planned maintenance, remedial work, and reactive repairs, delivering high-quality results on time. From replacing light switches and MCBs to conducting lighting tests, minor installations, and system testing, your expertise will help maintain critical systems. Tasks will be assigned through your PDA, and you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own schedule effectively. All work must be accurately documented with clear and detailed notes. You’ll also work closely with the wider engineering team and support emergency callouts as part of an on-call rota.
What you’ll need:
To succeed in this role, you must hold City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent), the 18th Edition with Amendment 2, and a full, clean UK driving licence. Previous experience in electrical maintenance across domestic, commercial, and industrial settings is essential, along with experience in carrying out Fixed Wire Inspections. It would be highly desirable if you also hold C&G 2391 in Testing & Inspection, an IPAF qualification, or have previous experience in MOD or secure property maintenance environments. You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be eligible for this role.
