Join a New Force in Defence Infrastructure

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation delivering critical asset and facilities management services across the UK Defence sector. Supporting the United States Visiting Forces estate, you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, secure, and fully operational sites.

About The Role

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will deliver maintenance activities scheduled by the helpdesk team, ensuring all tasks are completed within required timescales using a PDA system. Your work will include servicing, maintaining and repairing automatic doors, manual door systems, roller shutters and associated access control equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs efficiently, and ensuring all work complies with current regulations and safety standards. The role combines both planned maintenance and responsive callouts, with additional on-call and out-of-hours work as required. While much of your work will be independent, safety remains a priority. Tasks involving working at height will always be completed as part of a two-person team.

What We’re Looking For

You will have solid experience working with industrial or automatic doors and be confident managing both PPM and reactive maintenance in a fast‑paced environment. A Level 4 qualification in industrial doors, automated gates or a similar discipline is preferred, although candidates with strong hands‑on experience will also be considered. You should be comfortable working independently, highly organised, and capable of managing your own workload effectively while meeting strict service delivery timelines. Strong fault‑finding skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving are essential. Must hold IPAF and PASMA certifications for working at height and have knowledge of electrical isolation procedures. A recognised ADSA or DHF qualification is required, along with a full UK driving licence. To be eligible for this role you will need to be able to pass SC Clearance. It is desirable that you hold a CSCS card and an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Manufacture (or City & Guilds equivalent).

Benefits

  • 6% employee matched pension contribution
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Work van and fuel card
