Vivisol is currently hiring for NIV and Sleep Clinical Specialist in the Norfolk and Norwich region, due to recent growth. This position is responsible for the delivery of high quality and responsive services provided by Vivisol, providing specialist support within NHS Sleep and Ventilation Clinics. The successful candidate will be acting as a bridge between acute clinical settings and home-based care, ensuring that our patients with complex respiratory needs receive high-quality treatment.
We offer a generous package, including 33 days of annual leave (including Bank Holidays), a car allowance or company vehicle, and a salary dependent on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Registered Nurse, AHP, or Healthcare Scientist within NIV and Respiratory services. Although the standard working hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, the nature of the position does require some evening and weekend work.
Main duties and responsibilities of the NIV and Sleep Clinical Specialist:
- Providing expert clinical presence within NHS respiratory and sleep clinics, assisting consultants with the set-up and management of NIV and complex CPAP caseloads; installing NIV devices (including backup) and conducting software upgrades.
- Providing occasional, high-level home-based clinical support for complex NIV patients who cannot attend hospital clinics.
- Supporting complex CPAP patients when diary allows.
- Delivering face-to-face or virtual refresher device training for patients and customers.
- Conducting face-to-face or virtual reviews for patients, focusing on treatment optimisation and troubleshooting rather than routine installations.
- Delivering advanced device and therapy training to NHS clinical teams.
- Performing accurate setup, analysis, and scoring of overnight sleep studies (polygraphy/polysomnography/transcutaneous monitoring) to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment titration.
- Managing a busy patient caseload while providing a high standard of care for all customers.
Required experience and qualifications of the NIV and Sleep Clinical Specialist:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a registered Nurse, AHP, or Healthcare Scientist within NIV and/or Respiratory services.
- Previous experience setting up, training and monitoring patients on NIV devices.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
