Vivino is the world's largest wine marketplace, trusted by more than 74 million users to find and buy the right bottle every time. As our new Sourcing Manager, you will take on a central role at the heart of our European business, building the supplier network that shapes what lands in the portfolio — and in the glass — across 13 markets.
Build the wine portfolio that keeps Europe coming back for more
You will own commercial sourcing and supplier management for our European wine portfolio: negotiating pricing, allocations and promotional support, and nurturing relationships with suppliers across the globe.
Day‑to‑day, you will balance growth with discipline — expanding our supplier base while working closely with our Merchandising team to keep stock available and ageing inventory low, and collaborating closely with our Commercial and Operational teams to keep 13 European markets stocked with the right wines at the right prices. You will also be our eyes on the ground across those markets, tracking pricing, trends and market activity to keep us ahead.
This role reports to our Wine Director and is based in our London office, with a hybrid working pattern of three days a week in the office. Success in this role means building a supplier network that's broad, dependable, and commercially sharp — one that keeps our core wine range highly rated, competitively priced, and reliably in stock across Europe. Get that right, and you're directly shaping what millions of customers see every time they open Vivino to look for their next bottle.
Areas of responsibility
- Manage and grow a portfolio of European wine suppliers, negotiating commercial terms that work in our favor
- Keep our shelves stocked: work in conjunction with our Merchandising team to manage availability, ageing stock and stock turn across a large, complex SKU portfolio
- Act as the go‑to person when supplier issues need resolving — quickly and calmly. Track pricing, trends and market activity across our European markets to spot the next opportunity
- Spot new suppliers and product opportunities that match where our customers are heading
Equal parts relationship‑builder and numbers person
While we prefer not to confine anyone within rigid categories, we believe you will thrive and succeed in this position if you are motivated to seize opportunities and see a good deal through to the end. You build relationships naturally, understanding what matters to a supplier while still holding your ground in a negotiation. You think in evidence: numbers, trends and margins matter to you as much as instinct. And when priorities shift across 13 markets at once, you stay composed and adapt without losing momentum.
Experience levels
- You have several years of experience managing a large, complex supplier or product portfolio in wine, drinks or a related sourcing/category management environment
- You are a skilled negotiator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders to secure strong pricing, allocations and promotional support
- You feel comfortable with numbers, at ease in Excel, and quick to turn data into next steps. You are organised and detail‑focused, with a solid grasp of inventory management, stock turn and forecasting
- A WSET Level (or similar), and multiple language skills such as Spanish, Italian or French, are a bonus — not a requirement
Even if you don't check every single box, we still want to hear from you.
