ABOUT THE ROLE

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Ecommerce Manager – Japanese Speaking to join our Ecommerce team on a full-time basis for 12 months. This role will be based in our Merton office.

Oversees the overall e-commerce strategy, operations, and performance. Responsible for driving sales and improving customer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the New Ecommerce Japan website locale.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all B2C Japan locale e-commerce operations, overseeing both front-end and back-end website management, supply chain, fulfilment, and customer service.
  • Managing Japan partner instructions and guidelines, coordinating activities related to Japan locale operations to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and reporting on all Japan locale revenue, sales, and expected targets, ensuring key milestones for online revenue are met.
  • Conducting competitor benchmarking to analyse market positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional tactics within the Japan e-commerce landscape.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of Japan ecommerce team, prioritizing workloads according to business needs while ensuring optimal website performance.
  • Overseeing the execution of website merchandising assets and data management, ensuring seamless delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Tracking and analysing sales performance, conversion rates, and other key business metrics, providing insights for future performance and strategies.
  • Conducting site audits and implementing initiatives to improve the online shopping experience, focusing on customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX).
  • Collaborating closely with the Buying and Commercial teams to align on trading strategies and optimize the online product offerings.
  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication regarding project status and operational activities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of online processes and guidelines for the internal website teams and Japanese partners.

PROFILE & KEY SKILLS

  • Management: Strong leadership experience with a track record of successful team and project management.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in B2C platforms, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), HTML, XML, and SEO.
  • Analytical Skills: Extensive experience in data reporting and analysis using SAP and Excel to inform strategic decisions.
  • Design & Customer Experience: Expertise in UI, UX, and Customer Experience (CX) to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Japanese (Mandatory)/ Chinese (Preferred but not essential)/ English (Mandatory)
