We are excited to offer a full-time opportunity for a Digital Site Merchandise Manager to join our Digital Merchandising team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This role will be based at our Merton office. The Digital Site Merchandise Manager is responsible for developing and executing online strategies to drive website performance. The key objective for the role is to achieve budgeted sales and profit targets, whilst effectively leading the Merchandise team to manage systems, the online lifecycle of products and availability. The Merchandise Manager must demonstrate strong commercial awareness, brand positioning knowledge, and seasonal trend insight. They should be meticulous, data-driven, and strategic in managing product, merchandising, and online trading. Proficiency in inventory systems, performance reporting, and ecommerce tools is essential, along with excellent communication skills to foster internal and external relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as main contact for website and Merchandising team, ensuring alignment with strategy and clear communication across reporting levels.
  • Present confidently using a data-led approach; represent E-commerce Merchandising in stakeholder meetings.
  • Oversee daily operations and prioritise website workload as directed by Head of E-commerce.
  • Manage team and cross-functional projects, maintaining strong communication and a trading-focused culture.
  • Maintain Merchandise calendar, studio rota, and team records including TOIL and overtime.
  • Lead team development, training, and performance reviews; resolve internal issues.
  • Ensure timely execution of merchandising assets and data; delegate effectively across the team.
  • Communicate key developments and project updates to Head of E-commerce.
  • Stay informed on merchandising areas including content, supply chain, and inbound logistics; track and resolve discrepancies.
  • Independently manage SAP, OMS, SFCC catalogue, and website configuration for accurate reporting.
  • Analyse trade reports and commercial factors; produce monthly / annual performance insights.
  • Provide sales and margin reporting; use forecasting tools to guide trading actions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve traffic and site experience; conduct audits and report bugs.
  • Collaborate with Buying and Commercial teams to align on trading strategy and optimise online edits.
  • Research and propose new tools and practices to support team evolution.

SKILL SET REQUIRED

  • E-commerce & Merchandising Expertise: Deep understanding of online trading, merchandising strategy, and website operations.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong grasp of brand positioning, seasonal trends, and global business factors.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficient in interpreting trade reports, forecasting, and performance metrics using tools like SAP, OMS, and SFCC.
  • Project & Team Management: Skilled in prioritising workloads, managing cross-functional projects, and leading team development and performance reviews.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in presenting data-led insights to stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ecommerce platforms, catalogue management, website configuration, and bug reporting.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ability to manage calendars, rotas, and studio logistics while maintaining accurate records.
  • Problem Solving & Initiative: Proactive in resolving issues, suggesting improvements, and adapting to evolving team needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Strong relationship-building skills across Buying, Commercial, Logistics, and IT teams.
  • Customer Experience Focus: Understanding of CX and UX principles to enhance the online shopping journey.
