The Central London Office of Vivienne Westwood are looking for a Junior Communications Assistant to join their team. This will be an entry level position perfect for a candidate who has recently graduated or finished a related internship in the Communications and PR sector. You will be exposed to a wide range of duties across the Communications department so you will be able to build your career with the right foundation.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all London press office sample movement and tracking, including but not limited to: Editorial Requests; Partner press office daily send outs and long-term season loans; Internal designer/production; International press days; International event sample requirements; Advertising campaign; Digital campaign shoots; E-commerce shoots.
- Responsible for ensuring all samples are booked out accordingly for shoots, internal projects and VIP placements on Fashion GPS.
- Ensure GPS inventory is accurate against physical sample availability at all times, troubleshooting and chasing returns as well as monitoring all inter-departmental booking out of the sample set.
- Co-ordinate all international shipments of samples (including completing proformas/shipping documents) and monitoring/tracking shipping movements.
- Support the CA and showroom team co-ordinating the handover of the sample collections from the showroom team to press.
- Checking in and accounting for all samples in the handover.
- At the end of the season co-ordinate the return of the sample collections to the archive department.
- Responsible for the showroom appointment calendar and preparing rooms for press and external meetings (outside of selling season).
- Assist the press team in handling and facilitating editorial and VIP sample requests.
- Assist the press team with ideas and drafting seasonal hot sheets.
- Support the press team with all runway shows, London press days and events.
- Maintaining immaculate presentation of the ready-to-wear and accessory collections in the London press office and showrooms.
- Check through and clip all UK & ROW print and online press for Vivienne Westwood coverage and credits, including VIP placements.
- Responsible for all coverage tracking, weekly requests and availabilities chart.
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to track, book and reconcile sample inventory.
- At least 3 months previous experience working in PR.
- Ability to coordinate international shipments and handle required documentation.
- Experience supporting press teams with editorial and VIP requests.
- Confident assisting with press events, shows and press days.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high presentation standards.
- Able to monitor, clip and track press coverage and maintain request/availability reports.
