We’re recruiting for an Income Recovery Officer to join our team in Portsmouth. This is a full‑time permanent position working 37 hours a week, with a minimum of 20% office‑based time to promote collaboration and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of rent arrears accounts in line with agreed procedures
- Engage with customers to record contacts, agreements and referrals
- Provide tailored support and advice to help customers sustain tenancies
- Develop a strong understanding of benefits and payment processes
- Work collaboratively with internal teams such as neighbourhoods and tenancy support, and external agencies including housing options, the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and homelessness services
- Ensure business and customer impacts are considered in all recovery actions
Qualifications & Experience
You’ll bring a wealth of experience in debt recovery and working in a customer‑centric environment. You also have demonstrable awareness and knowledge of the social housing sector, strong communication and relationship‑building skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
