We’re VIVID! We offer a vibrant, friendly, inclusive culture that supports, develops and attracts the best people! We’re recruiting a Gas Engineer contractually based out of our Portsmouth office. You will cover Portsmouth and the surrounding South Hampshire area on a full-time, permanent basis, working 39 hours per week. Whilst we’ll try to keep you local, you may need to travel to and work from any of our other sites across Hampshire to help other teams when needed. We’ll provide you with a van & fuel card for your travel. You’ll also participate in the emergency on-call rota. As part of the on-call rota, you’ll be paid at competitive rates. You’ll also have access to a performance-related bonus scheme based around productivity, enhancing your on-target earnings and rewarding you for your hard work!

Role Overview:
As a gas engineer, you’ll carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing of domestic boilers and appliances in line with gas safety regulations. Identifying faults and testing controls to ensure they’re in full working order. You’ll complete gas safety checks in line with guidance and regulations, completing all necessary paperwork to fulfil our obligations. You’ll interact with our customers & help them to understand how to effectively use their heating & appliances. Therefore, good communication skills are key!
You’ll have CCN1, CEN, HTR, unvented and CPA technical qualifications, which you’ll need to provide proof of at interview stage. Essential electrics would be beneficial. You’ll have a full, clean, current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) so you can drive one of our vans. This role is subject to a satisfactory licence check and a basic disclosure check.
