We’re looking for a Development Administrator Apprentice to join our New Build Housing Development team, where you’ll gain valuable experience whilst studying towards a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop practical workplace skills and play a part in delivering high-quality new homes that make a difference to people’s lives.

Contractually based out of our Portsmouth office, this is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on an 18-month fixed-term basis.

Here’s the facts about the role:

You’ll start out with a Business Admin apprenticeship (Level 3) to gain practical skills and real-world experience in the housing development sector. You’ll work in our New Build Housing Development team and provide administrative support to colleagues delivering our new build programme. The team oversees the development of new affordable homes and communities, working with a wide range of partners from landowners and contractors to local authorities and consultants. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll gain hands-on experience whilst completing your apprenticeship qualification and play an important role in helping us provide much-needed homes for our customers. You’ll be learning in a supportive environment that values collaboration, innovation, and personal growth, receiving structured training, mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the field, and enjoying a wealth of development opportunities.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work
  • Organised and able to manage their time effectively
  • Positive attitude and willing to work hard to achieve
  • Reliable, committed and keen to learn
  • Supportive teammate and willingly helps others
  • Confident to use IT systems and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Can work 1 day a week in our Portsmouth Office
  • Can travel to Farnborough College 1 day every fortnight for training
  • Has at least 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4/A*-C, including Maths and English
  • Is eligible to work in the UK
  • Is 18 or over
