Role & Company
Working alongside our existing team, you will be tasked with working on private, public and
community Clients. This team are skilled in working across a wide variety of sectors and on projects
that are small through to large scale. The focus of this role will see you engaging in a range of
development plan, policy, and development management work. This will include planning appraisals,
co-ordinating pre-application and planning applications, preparing local plan representations, site
promotion and appeals. You will be encouraged to attend networking events and further build your
own Client base through networking.
Role Requirements
▪ RTPI qualified town planner, with a minimum 2 years' experience across both the private and
public sectors.
▪ Ambitious and confident personality, ready to further build your own Client base.

Duties
• Preparing and submitting planning applications and supporting documents (writing of Planning
Statements, Design & Access Statements)
• Preparing of Policy representations
• Preparing Appeal submissions
• Giving oral evidence at Appeals and Examinations
• A thorough understanding of planning law, relevant court judgements and national planning policy
• Undertake site visits and site appraisals
• Attendance at committee meetings to include speaking
• Developing client relationships both new and existing
• Managing and co‐ordinating project teams
• Mentoring junior members of staff to ensure all reports are correct prior to their submission
• Preparation and Attendance at Public Exhibitions, preparing exhibition material and hosting
• Write Statements of Community Involvement Documents
• Maintaining project files (manual &electronic)
• Undertake their own administration work as necessary
• Maintain detailed, accurate time recording
• Draft fee proposals in liaison with the Accounts Manager
