  • Attend client meetings, design team meetings, site visits, and discussions with local planning and highway authorities.
  • Manage your workload effectively to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Support the preparation of fee proposals and contribute to business development opportunities where appropriate.
  • Keep up to date with relevant planning policy, transport guidance, and industry best practice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues while continuing to develop your technical and professional skills.
  • Support the delivery of projects across a range of development sectors and geographic locations.

About You

The successful candidate will have

  • Approximately 2–7 years' experience in transport planning, preferably within a development planning consultancy.
  • Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and related technical documents.
  • A good understanding of the UK planning system and relevant transport planning guidance.
  • Experience using industry-standard transport planning software such as Junctions (PICADY, ARCADY, and Lin Sig), TRICS, and TEMPro.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical reports.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach and a willingness to take ownership of project tasks.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits where required.

  • Working towards or holding membership of a relevant professional institution, such as CIHT or TPS.

What We Offer

  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Support for professional development and progression towards chartership.
