An established and highly regarded independent planning consultancy is seeking a talented Senior or Principal Town Planner to join its growing team based in Beaconsfield. Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a varied caseload of planning projects from inception through to determination.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients, landowners, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Conducting site appraisals and planning due diligence assessments.
  • Preparing planning statements and representations to local plans and consultations.
  • Managing client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and other professional teams.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree (and preferably a postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Chartered membership of the RTPI (or working towards chartership).
  • Significant experience within either a planning consultancy, local authority, or development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy framework.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong project management skills.
