An established and growing independent planning consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Town Planner to join its team in Sutton Coldfield. Key Responsibili
- ties
Lead and manage a varied portfolio of planning projects from inception through to determination and ap - peal.Prepare and review planning applications, appraisals, planning statements and appeal submiss
- ions.Provide strategic planning advice to clients, landowners, developers and other stakehol
- ders.Manage client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout the planning pro
- cess.Represent clients at meetings, public consultations, hearings and inquiries where requ
- ired.Liaise with local authorities, consultees and professional teams to progress projects efficie
- ntly.Support business development activities and assist in securing new instruct
- ions.Mentor and support junior planners, helping to develop technical and professional skills within the
- team.Keep up to date with planning legislation, policy changes and industry developm
ents.
Candidate Requir
- ements
MRTPI qua - lified.Significant experience within either a planning consultancy, local authority or development envir
- onment.Strong working knowledge of the UK planning
- system.Proven experience managing planning applications and complex development pr
- ojects.Excellent report writing, communication and presentation
- skills.Commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain client relatio
- nships.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and dea
- dlines.Full UK driving licence pre
ferred.
