The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The ideal candidate will be a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, or be working towards achieving this, have development management experience and /or local plan and strategic policy experience either within a consultancy or local authority environment.
Pending your experience you could become part of either our planning or our land promotion teams or you could work across both teams.
As a Planner/ Senior Planner / Principal Planner you would be expected to provide accurate and professional planning advice and services in relation to planning matters.
A Senior / Principal Planner will also be expected to undertake some Business Development activities and play an active role in growing the portfolio of projects., * Conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites Experience in the preparation, submission and management of a range of planning applications and appeals.

Promoting sites through the Local Plan system, including representations, Hearing Statements, and Advocacy Reports.

Provide clear, concise, accurate, reasoned advice both orally and through written documents (reports, letters, emails, etc.)

Work within multi disciplined teams to deliver planning projects with an ability to lead your own projects and also work as part of a team.

Effectively communicate, manage and maintain good working relationships with clients.

Communicating with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.

Attending site visits, client meeting, public meetings and other events.

Preparing fee proposals and tenders.

Degree or higher in relevant subject, making you eligible for RTPI membership, which you are working towards or Charted membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute.

Planning experience, either within a consultancy or local authority environment.

Demonstrable experience of the planning process, either in Local Plans or Development Management.

Experience of conducting research and undertaking planning appraisals to establish the development of potential of sites.

Strong analytical, numeracy and report writing skills.

Confidence managing clients and attending client and local authority meetings.

Excellent time and workload management skills.

Experience in engagement with senior stakeholders and decision makers.

The ability to work collaboratively.
