We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to provide part-time interim support to our Estates and Asset Management team for an initial six-month period. Working remotely, you will manage a varied portfolio of local authority property assets and provide professional advice on a broad range of estate management matters. This role would suit an experienced MRICS-qualified surveyor seeking a flexible interim opportunity with a Scottish local authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide estate management support across the Council's property portfolio.
- Undertake landlord and tenant work including lease renewals, rent reviews, licences, wayleaves and servitudes.
- Negotiate acquisitions, disposals, leases and other property transactions.
- Provide professional property and valuation advice to Council services.
- Support asset management initiatives and property rationalisation projects.
- Prepare reports, recommendations and briefing papers for senior officers and committees.
- Liaise effectively with tenants, community organisations, elected members, solicitors and external consultants.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, governance requirements and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate estate records and property information.
