Are you an ambitious Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career?

We're seeking a motivated planner with around two years of consultancy experience to join our growing team in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the minerals, waste, commercial and residential sectors, supporting clients through every stage of the planning process while developing your technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.

About the Role

As a Town Planner, you'll work alongside experienced planning professionals on a wide range of projects, helping to deliver high-quality planning advice and successful planning outcomes for private and public sector clients.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing planning applications, supporting statements and planning appraisals.
  • Managing planning applications through to determination.
  • Undertaking planning policy and site research.
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and clients.
  • Assisting with planning appeals and representations.
  • Supporting project management and client communications.
  • Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

About You

We're looking for someone who has

  • Around two years' professional experience in a planning consultancy or similar environment.
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Progress towards, or an interest in achieving, MRTPI status.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A proactive, positive and collaborative approach to work.
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred).
