KeyResponsibilities
- UndertakingHHSRSinspectionsandproducingassociatedreports.
- CarryingoutmandatoryHMOlicensinginspections.
- ManagingcasesrelatingtotheRenters'RightsActandwiderprivatesectorhousinglegislation.
- Investigatinghousingcomplianceissuesandtakingappropriateenforcementactionwherenecessary.
- Handlingarangeofadditionalprivatesectorhousingmattersincluding:
- Statutorynuisances
- ElectricalSafetyRegulations
- MinimumEnergyEfficiencyStandards(MEES)
- Generalhousingstandardsandcompliancework
Requirements
- PreviousexperienceworkingwithinPrivateSectorHousingforalocalauthority.
- StrongknowledgeofHHSRS,housingenforcement,andHMOlicensing.
- Abilitytomanagecomplexcasesindependently.
- ExperienceworkingataSeniorOfficerlevelishighlydesirable,althoughstrongcandidateswithslightlylessseniorexperiencewillalsobeconsidered.
- Availabletoworkaminimumof4daysperweek,withapreferencefor5daysperweek(Monday-Friday).Majoritywillbehomeworking.
- Abletorespondtourgentservicedemandsduringworkingdaysandattendinspectionsasrequired.
