The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
As a Graduate/Assistant Urban Designer, you would work in collaboration with senior colleagues to liaise with developers, local communities, other consultants and local authorities on a range of multi-disciplinary projects including urban extensions, urban regeneration, development masterplans and preparation of accompanying reports., * Assist in the preparation of high-quality planning documents, including visions, design and access statements, design codes, feasibility studies and associated drawings.

Work with the wider planning team to make sure relevant policy and guidance is followed.

Attending site visits and client meetings.

Communicating with clients, design team and stakeholders, as appropriate.

Provide a positive contribution to wider elements of running the practice, including helping to prepare marketing collateral, presentation images, social media posts and website updates.

Ability to work at various scales from high level masterplans through to small scale interventions and contribute to the design of places from concept through to planning.

Strong research capability and ability to collate key information about a site/ project, including political, environmental, social, economic and spatial considerations.

Ability to present information in a clear format, including mapping and analysis at various scales.

An understanding of best practice urban design principles.

Essential IT/graphic skills include:-

Excellent visual presentation skills, experienced in advanced graphic communication techniques such as 3D modelling, hand sketching, rendering, urban design diagrams and technical drawings.

Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite to produce presentation images and reports, with a particular focus on Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

Experience using CAD software to a reasonable standard.
