I am currently working with one of my longstanding clients who are seeking an InterimFire Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of fire safety works, particularly an extensive fire door installation programme. This is a hands-on role managing contractors on-site, ensuring works are delivered to specification, on time, and in compliance with relevant fire safety standards and Building Safety Regulator (BSR) requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage day-to-day on-site fire safety works, acting as a key point of contact for all stakeholders.
- Oversee fire door installations, ensuring correct specification, installation, and completion.
- Support and coordinate BSR applications, ensuring compliance throughout the process.
- Work closely with the Principal Designer, fire engineers, and main contractor to ensure best practice and programme adherence.
- Carry out pre- and post-work inspections, acting in a Clerk of Works capacity for minor quality checks.
- Specify and liaise with designers regarding AOVs and other fire safety components.
- Monitor and direct the main contractor, ensuring performance aligns with agreed deliverables and timelines.
- Review contractor documentation and manage the reassignment of actions as needed.

- Experienced in managing contractors and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
