A local authority in Essex is seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Manager to join their Housing & Renters’ Rights service on an interim basis for an initial 6-month assignment.
This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery and development of private sector housing regulatory and enforcement functions. You will lead and manage core service areas including:
- HMO Licensing
- Private Sector Housing Enforcement
- Housing Standards and Compliance
Using your expertise in the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and relevant legislation, you will drive improvements across the private rented sector. The role will focus on ensuring effective enforcement, improving housing conditions, and protecting residents.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will:
