This company is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. This role involves managing the commercial aspects of projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring costs are controlled, contracts are administered effectively, and projects are delivered in line with budget and contractual requirements.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide commercial support to project managers and operational teams, helping to monitor project performance, manage subcontractor accounts, and produce accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for preparing valuations, assessing variations, forecasting project costs, and assisting with procurement activities to achieve the best value for the business and its clients.
The successful candidate will be confident in analysing financial information, identifying commercial risks and opportunities, and building positive working relationships with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. You will be expected to maintain accurate commercial records, ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial processes.
This role would suit someone with experience in quantity surveying within construction, highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering who has strong commercial awareness, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
