We are working with an established transport planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a

Transport Planner to join its growing London team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a transport planner with around

2–4 years' experience to develop their career within a supportive consultancy, gaining exposure to a broad range of development-led projects across London and the wider South East.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced transport planners on a range of projects, supporting the delivery of transport planning advice for developers, architects, planning consultants and other private-sector clients.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting with the preparation of

Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans .

  • Undertaking transport, traffic and parking surveys and analysing the resulting data.
  • Carrying out trip generation and traffic impact assessments .
  • Supporting parking assessments and access arrangements.
  • Preparing technical reports, plans and supporting documentation for planning applications.
  • Liaising with local authorities, Tf L and other stakeholders.
  • Supporting senior colleagues with project delivery and client requirements.
  • Attending site visits and meetings where required.
  • Managing your own workload and delivering work to agreed deadlines.
  • Supporting junior colleagues as your experience develops.

About You

We are looking for someone with

  • Around

2–4 years' experience within a transport planning consultancy.

  • Experience working on development-led projects , ideally across London.
  • Previous experience with Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and/or Travel Plans.
  • A good understanding of transport planning principles and relevant planning policy.
  • Experience analysing traffic, parking or transport data .
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience using software such as

TRICS, Auto Track, TEMPro, QGIS or similar would be advantageous.

  • The confidence to communicate with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders.

The Opportunity
