We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a growing planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial, retail, and strategic land.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing planning applications, advising clients, and supporting junior members of the team while contributing to business development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a wide range of planning projects from inception through to determination.
  • Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Providing strategic planning advice to clients across a variety of sectors.
  • Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, consultants, and external partners.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
  • Supporting junior planners through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Attending client meetings, committee meetings, and public consultations where required.
  • Monitoring changes in planning legislation and policy.
  • Assisting with business development and identifying new opportunities.
Requirements
  • MRTPI qualified or working towards chartership.
  • Proven experience within either a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning policy.
  • Experience managing planning applications and client relationships independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.

  • Experience across residential and mixed-use developments.
